Client:
Old Diplomat Hotel
Heritage Hill, Baguio City
This project involved the comprehensive surveying of the Old Diplomat Hotel at Heritage Hill, Baguio City, for our client, Palafox Associates. The work utilized advanced technology including drone surveys, LiDAR surveys, terrestrial laser scanning (TLS), and ground penetrating radar (GPR) to capture detailed and accurate data necessary for planning and preservation efforts.
Scope of work:
Drone Survey
A DJI M300 equipped with an L1 LiDAR sensor was utilized to conduct aerial surveys, collecting high-resolution geospatial data of the site.
Deliverables:
Orthophoto
Aerial imagery that was processed to create a flat, scale-accurate representation of the site.
Topographical and As-Built Maps
These maps provided essential information on the existing conditions and topography of the site.
Floor Plans
Detailed floor plans of the hotel interior were developed, showcasing the layout and dimensions of various spaces.
LiDAR Survey
Data was gathered using LiDAR technology to create detailed topographic maps and 3D representations of the terrain and structures.
Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS)
Ground-based laser scanning was performed to capture intricate details of the hotel’s architectural features and surrounding landscape.
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
GPR techniques were employed to investigate subsurface conditions and to locate buried structures or anomalies related to the hotel's foundation.
GPR Report
A comprehensive report detailing the findings from the GPR survey, including any subsurface anomalies identified.
Integrated 3D Point Cloud
The project culminated in an integrated 3D point cloud combining data from the TLS survey and the LiDAR survey, providing a holistic view of the site.
Aerial Drone Surveys for the Metro
Manila Subway Project (MMSP)
Metro Manila, Philippines
The Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP) is a transformative infrastructure initiative aimed at addressing the growing transportation needs of Metro Manila, one of the most densely populated urban areas in the world.

As the first underground rapid transit line in the philippines,
MMSP is set to revolutionize the commute experience by
significantly reducing travel time accross several key locations in the region.Spanning approximately 36 kilometers, the subway line will connect major commercial and business districts with residential communities, ultimately enhancing connectivity and promoting economic growth. With its cutting-edge design, the MMSP will feature modern train systems and facilities aimed at providing a safe, efficient, and environmentally sustainable mode of transportation.
Scope of work:
Conduct bi-monthly aerial drone surveys of four MMSP stations:
Quirino, North Avenue, Tandang Sora, and Depot. Collect high- resolution imagery for detailed site analysis and documentation.
